Halloween 2008

Halloween 2008 was great!
The week of Halloween started off with some FHE pumpkin carving. This year Grace and I carved the pumpkin, while Daddy and Gavin helped bake pumpkin seeds.

Daddy and Gavin being silly!
They were so excited to see the pumpkin lit up. You can see Gavin trying to get out while Randy goes to get his Jacket back on. It was a really chilly night.
Halloween night was on a Friday this year, which made it really special. We started off the day at the library for a Trick or Treat Party. This is Grace's 4th year and Gav's 2nd year attending the Library's Halloween festivities and has become a fun tradition. We made Pirate Magnets, ate yummy snacks, and a little candy too (of course)!
That night we went Trick or Treating in our new neighborhood (which we love). We went with our neighbor across the street and had fun with all the kids running around. Grace got really excited about 15 min. into it and would run up to the houses and say, "Mommy that house has a light on, can we go up and say trick or treat." As she was half way up we would say yes and she had the biggest grin on her face. Gavin had fun chasing her around and when he would get tired he would stop in the middle of people's yards and just sit down. It was a lot of fun for Randy and I to see the kids smiling from ear to ear.
