Gaylord Palms

We have made it a tradition the past few years to go to Gaylord Palms Resort with our family and friends for the weekend. It was a blast full of food, ICE, gingerbreads, and lots of family FUN!!

The ICE Exhibit:

It is truly amazing how they sculpt these huge masterpieces made of just ice. In order for the sculptures to stay it is obviously cold inside, like 9 degrees to be exact. It sure was beautiful, but it sure was cold too. The kids didn't last that long and I don't have a picture that would do the sculptures justice, but they were amazing.

Good job, Grace!
It's cold and Gav is ready to go! Yeah, its warm again!
In the gift shop the kids had fun looking at all the neat toys. When it came to this reindeer they did more than just looking. We almost had to buy it because at one point both the the kids got on it and were riding it and I'm not sure if it was made for riders. We hurried out of the store at that point.
Off to the trains instead and this kept their attention for like 15 min. Not kidding. We watched the trains while we waited for the rest of the crew and they were in heaven.

Ms. Clause Reading:
Sat. night, Shirley turned one of our rooms into a childrens dream. She had it decorated with treats, hot chocolate, goodie bags, christmas decorations, and even holiday music. As we all gathered together to hang out it was such a sweet atmosphere and then Ms. Clause showed up to tuck us in and read us a bedtime story.

Grace and Paige drinking their hot chocolate
All snuggled up and ready for a story.

Because of that 10pm cookie, this is what Gavin was doing during most of the story.
And then he started to get sleepy
All of the kids, even the older ones, started to shut their eyes and Gracie was out.
What a wonderful night!!
Brunch and Gingerbread Making:
The next morning we had brunch and walked around to see the sights. The food was SO SO good and as usual the hotel did it up with decorations to see.

AJ and Grace waiting to decorate their gingerbread house
After we got the walls and roof up, Grace was in awe over all the candy that she got to play with and was very particular about how she placed and decorated her house. This was definitly a highlight of the trip.
Our little masterpiece!
